Call for projects

The June 2026 call for collaborative project proposals is now open.

We are seeking collaborative project proposals from technology developers (innovators) across the health and care sectors (including health care professionals, researchers and SMEs). We support technologies that are:

• Medical devices.
• Data driven and digitally delivered care, with and without artificial intelligence. 
• Robotics and autonomous systems.

Our collaborative projects aim to accelerate the development and acceptance of technologies that are designed to improve patient outcomes or experiences in healthcare. We encourage innovators who are looking to generate evidence that will support the future adoption of their technology to submit a proposal.

We held our guidance webinar on Wednesday 17 June to learn more about who we are, our services, and how to submit a collaborative project proposal. Go to our Resource library to watch the webinar recording.

Submit a proposal

Innovators interested in collaborative projects should complete a proposal form outlining their technology, the clinical need it seeks to address and the type of support needed. This information provides us with a high-level overview of the potential project for an initial review. Following the initial review, we will contact the innovators to confirm if they are able to attend a presentation meeting to discuss the project with our team.

Innovators are encouraged to attend our launch webinar and read the written guidance before completing a project proposal form. Completed forms should be sent to HRCengagement@uhb.nhs.uk by Thursday 16 July 2026 to be considered for the current call for proposals.
