Call for projects

Our call for collaborative project proposals is now open. The proposal form will be shared after our webinar on Wednesday 28 January and more information about the webinar and form is available below in the Submit a proposal section.

We are seeking collaborative project proposals from technology developers (innovators) across the health and care sectors (including health care professionals, researchers and SMEs). We support technologies that are:

• Medical devices.
• Data driven and digitally delivered care, with and without artificial intelligence. 
• Robotics and autonomous systems.

Our collaborative projects aim to accelerate the development and acceptance of technologies that are designed to improve patient outcomes or experiences in healthcare. We encourage innovators who are looking to generate evidence that will support the future adoption of their technology to submit a proposal.

Submit a proposal

Innovators interested in collaborative projects should complete a proposal form outlining their technology, the clinical need it seeks to address and the type of support needed. This information provides us with a high-level overview of the potential project for an initial review. Following the initial review, we will contact the innovators to confirm if they are able to attend a presentation meeting to discuss the project with our team.

We are hosting a webinar on Wednesday 28 January at 12-1pm to provide information about our services, the call for proposals and guidance on submitting the form. The webinar is open to innovators from all sectors and includes a Q&A session where attendees can ask questions to our team. Use the link below to register to attend the webinar.

We will publish the proposal form following the webinar on our Resource library webpage. Completed forms should be sent to HRCengagement@uhb.nhs.uk by 11.59pm on Thursday 12 March 2026.

Innovators are encouraged to attend the webinar and read the Guidance on the call for proposals before submitting a form.
