Call for projects

The below information applies to the January 2026 call for proposals, which is now closed. Future calls will be announced on this page and our LinkedIn page. For any enquiries related to engagement and submitting a proposal, please contact HRCengagement@uhb.nhs.uk.

We are seeking collaborative project proposals from technology developers (innovators) across the health and care sectors (including health care professionals, researchers and SMEs). We support technologies that are:

• Medical devices.
• Data driven and digitally delivered care, with and without artificial intelligence. 
• Robotics and autonomous systems.

Our collaborative projects aim to accelerate the development and acceptance of technologies that are designed to improve patient outcomes or experiences in healthcare. We encourage innovators who are looking to generate evidence that will support the future adoption of their technology to submit a proposal.

Submit a proposal

Innovators interested in collaborative projects should complete a proposal form outlining their technology, the clinical need it seeks to address and the type of support needed. This information provides us with a high-level overview of the potential project for an initial review. Following the initial review, we will contact the innovators to confirm if they are able to attend a presentation meeting to discuss the project with our team.

Innovators are encouraged to watch our recent webinar and read the written guidance before completing a project proposal form. Completed forms should be sent to HRCengagement@uhb.nhs.uk by Thursday 12 March 2026 to be considered for the current call for proposals.
